Bat Houses Coming to Underhill and Memorial

Approved just minutes ago by the Hooksett School Board was Life Scout Anthony Kokoszka’s Eagle Scout Project.  On October 11 from 11-3, Anthony will be hosting a fundraising carwash at Burger King on Hooksett Road across from Shorty’s.  Donations will be gladly accepted.  He needs to raise $640 to build 25 bat houses to be hung around the grounds of Underhill and Memorial Schools.

Bats eat mosquitoes.  Mosquitoes carry various diseases including West Nile and EEE.  If Anthony’s plan proceeds as he hopes, there will be fewer mosquitoes on the grounds of our elementary schools.
