Underhill School is Wild About Reading!

We will kick-off our school-wide literacy theme, “Wild About Reading” on Monday, March 2nd.

Grade 1 and Grade 2 (see below for Kindergarten)

The week we come back from vacation, children across America will be celebrating Dr. Seuss’ birthday. In honor of this literary great, first and second grade classes will join in the festivities by reading a Dr. Seuss book each day. At home you can help add to the excitement of this week by having your child prepare for the stories we will be reading.

Monday, March 3rd:

Wear red and white (stripes if you have them).

Tuesday, March 4th:

Bring in your favorite stuffed animal to hold.

Wednesday, March 5th:

Get ready for Wacky Wednesday by dressing as crazy and mixed-up as you can.

Thursday, March 6th:

Wear clothes with lots of pockets and hide tiny treasures in them.

Friday, March 7th:

Wear your favorite socks.

Kindergarten Teachers will inform parents of Dr. Seuss activities planned for their classrooms.
