I’m sure you may have heard of Twitter (twitter.com), the popular social-networking service. You may have seen hashtags (#idol, #nfl, #redsox) on the bottom corner of your television screens, too. Every celebrity, business, and athlete seems to have an account.
I would love for you to give Twitter a chance, too. I am hoping to use it as a method to increase communication between Fred C. Underhill School and the Hooksett community. Twitter makes it easy for me to instantaneously distribute useful information, links to valuable online resources for parents, current events at school and more. I can even post information, pictures and videos of Underhill School happenings allowing us to celebrate the successes of our teachers and students more frequently than ever before. Twitter provides a streamlined, free, and universal location for all of these messages.
If you already use Twitter or if you are willing to become a new Twitter user, you can follow our updates automatically by searching for @HooksettFCU from Twitter’s homepage or by going directly to www.twitter.com/hooksettfcu. Additionally, the more followers we have, the more bragging rights we will have over Hooksett Memorial and Cawley Middle School. You are more than welcome to FOLLOW US ON FACEBOOK (www.facebook.com/hooksettfcu), too!
I am very proud of our achievements at Underhill School. Our teachers and students are some of the best in the state, and we are thankful for the support from the community. Twitter will make it possible to easily share our successes and keep you up to date on some of the creative things happening in our school. We hope you’ll give us a look!
