Dear Underhill Families,
I want to express my sincerest thanks for sharing your child(ren) with us at Underhill School. Any time that I am out and about in Hooksett, I am often approached by both parents and strangers alike commenting on how great of a school Underhill School is. I am proud of the school community that has been cultivated here in Hooksett, and I am honored to have been part of one of the best educational communities in the state.
Reflecting on the time I have had here at Underhill School has filled me with pride, but it has also showed me that I do have other goals to accomplish, both personal and professional. I have decided to move on in my career so I can do just that. Over the weekend, Dr. Littlefield and the Hooksett School Board received my letter of resignation from Underhill School effective at the end of this school year.
I will continue to work as diligently as possible through June to ensure a smooth transition for Underhill students, families, and staff. Mrs. St. Pierre and I will see to an organized end of the 2014-15 school year and opening of 2015-16. I ask for your patience and understanding as we move forward and trust that you will welcome the new principal to Hooksett the same way I was 7 years ago. Keeping in mind that you know your child(ren) best, I will leave it up to you as to if/how you share this news. There will not be an official announcement from this point forward as we ultimately want to continue to stay focused on the most important task at hand, providing every child, every chance, every day.
