Continental Studies

Second grade students are learning about the continents. In Library Class, students looked at the photo above from NASA of the earth at night (combined photos). Mrs. Landsman and students made inferences from what they could see, such as:

  • where landforms like mountain ranges, deserts and rainforest are located
  • that more people tend to live near the coastline of the continents
  • that some continents have more access to electricity than others
  • that there can different kinds of maps that give us information
