Yes, we are ready to form Underhill DI Rising Star! Teams. These teams are non-competitive but may choose to perform at the Regional Meet in March. Destination ImagiNation is a wonderful, nationwide program that helps kids develop a unique and critical skill set by emphasizing:
Creative & Critical Thinking Skills
This is a program where parents can be Team Managers – but they CANNOT give the kids ideas or influence the way they solve their challenge in any way! It is totally up to the kids, and they usually come up with some fantastically creative solutions. DI is a great opportunity for kids who think “outside the box” to let their talents shine.
The time commitment is up to each team and team manager. Teams may start out meeting every other week at first but most teams meet once a week as they begin working on their challenge. DI ends in mid-March.
IF YOU ARE AT ALL INTERESTED, COME TO THE PARENT INFORMATION MEETING ON

North, south, east, or west. Hmm…which way is best?
• Learn about maps and how they are helpful to people.
• Create a play that is about a journey your team is on.
• Make a change in direction at some point during your play.
• Make a map to help your team on your journey.
