Dear Underhill Parents/Guardians,

The purpose of this message is to inform you that we conducted a practice off-site evacuation drill today with the assistance of the Hooksett Police Department and the Hooksett Fire Department. The students did an amazing job following instructions throughout the drill.

We practice a variety of emergency drills throughout the year to make sure that our staff and students know what to do to stay safe during an emergency situation. It is not our typical practice to share the specific details of our emergency drills for safety/security purposes. However, this drill is different from fire drills and I wanted to inform you because your child may talk with you about the drill today. An appropriate response for your child’s questions could be, “The school needs to practice these drills to make sure that everyone is safe during different kinds of emergencies.”
