Back to School Information

Dear Underhill School Parents/Guardians,

I hope you’re having a great summer so far! It’s hard to believe that school starts in a few more weeks. I’ve listed some back to school information below to help you with planning for the start of school.

  • Meet Your Teacher Event
    • The Meet Your Teacher event will be on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm for all Preschool to Grade 2 students. This is a chance for all of our students and their families to meet their new teachers and to briefly explore their new classrooms and the school. We’re planning to have a school bus here at school for the students to see as well.
  • First Day of School

    • The first day of school is Tuesday, September 6, 2022 for all Hooksett students in grades K-8. Preschool will start on Monday, September 12, 2022.

  • Pick Up Patrol and Bus Routes

    • Be on the lookout for the PickUp Patrol email that will be sent to you in mid-August regarding your child’s dismissal plans. Please check the school district website just before the start of school for bus routes.  We will also have bus routes posted in the school when they are available.

  • Parent/Student Handbook

    • The Hooksett School District Parent/Student Handbook will be available on the school district website at the end of August. It will be important for you to review the policies and procedures for the Hooksett School District.

  • School Supplies

    • The Hooksett School District provides students with basic supplies for school. Your child’s teacher may provide you with a list of additional supplies that may be needed. Students will need to bring their own backpack, lunch/lunch money, healthy snack, and water bottle. Please remember to label your child’s personal belongings.

Please be on the lookout for additional back to school information in the next few weeks. If you have any questions, please contact us at (603) 623-7233. We look forward to seeing you soon!
Sincerely,
Benjamin Loi, M.Ed.
Principal
