Mask Update from Superintendent – 12/31/2021

Dear Hooksett School District Families,

I would like to take this opportunity to update you on the mask requirement which has been in effect since last month.  Since my last communication, the 7-day PCR/AntiGen positivity rate has averaged 15.9% which is above the 10% threshold considered substantial transmission by the NH Department of Health and Human Services.  The number of active cases have increased from 85 to 113 cases and the number of current cases over the previous 14 days have increased from 203 to 204 cases.

With the 7-day PCR/AntiGen positivity rate average at 15.9% and with the number of active cases and new cases over the past 14 days increasing, we will continue with the mask requirement for the week of January 3rd through January 7th.  I will continue to monitor these data points and will provide another update at the end of next week.

Thank you for your support and understanding.

Sincerely,

William Rearick
Superintendent of Schools
