No Masks in Outdoor Settings

Dear Fred C. Underhill School Parents/Guardians,
Dr. Benjamin Chan, the State Epidemiologist, made an announcement at today’s Education and Childcare Partner Call regarding mask use in outdoor settings for schools. The New Hampshire Division of Public Health Services (NH DPHS) recommends that schools and childcare agencies can remove masks in outdoor settings (regardless of vaccination status), including at recess and during non-contact sports. NH DPHS still recommends physical distancing between students, to the extent possible. As a result, the Hooksett School District will not require students to wear face masks outdoors at recess or physical education classes effective immediately.
Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Benjamin Loi, M.Ed.
Principal
